We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our R&D team. This is a highly technical position in an exciting new development area we will be introducing into our retail analytics business platform.

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of highly skilled web, infrastructure and data engineers who are proud to partner with some of the world’s leading retailers on challenging, cutting-edge, data-driven solutions, powered by technology, and people. While your core skill will be back-end and/or front-end development, you will be expected to contribute to all areas of the product by developing your skills in other technologies.

Responsibilities

  •  Develop web solutions for industry-leading interactive retail analytics, with opportunities for leadership on some projects
  • Participate and begin to lead in defining backlog and requirements clarification for various technology projects
  • Help us to research and take advantage of new technology to improve and expand solutions
  • Leverage your previous experience to develop moderately to highly complex software solutions in support of business requirements and in accordance with predetermined software solution design standards
  • Be a confident participant in an agile environment on design, development, testing and implementation of web solution components and modules
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Integrate code into modern, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • At least 6 years of experience as a software developer
  • Extensive experience developing web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Experience developing web applications using Java and Spring Framework.
  • Experience creating and integrating Restful APIs.
  • Understanding of microservices and micro-frontend architecture.
  • Some experience with frontend design and solution architecture
  • Knowledge of SQL / Databases
  • Experience in unit testing (unit and components)
  • Experience using visualization libraries such as Highcharts, D3.js, etc...
  • Beneficial to have experience with JOOQ
  • Experience with Storybook
  • Be highly detail oriented and have strong business & product understanding.
  • Self-motivated and able to define, plan and implement goals, tasks, and projects.
