Job Overview:

Invitro Capital is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Frontend Engineer with specialized skills in React. In this role, you will take charge of designing, developing, and optimizing user-centric and high-performance web applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will convert business requirements into robust, scalable, and responsive frontend architectures. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects and significantly impact the growth and success of our portfolio companies.

Working Hours are from Monday's to Friday's, Pacific Time Zone

Senior Frontend Engineer, Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on React.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), with a proven ability to create responsive, cross-browser-compatible user interfaces.
• Strong Figma experience, ensuring pixel-perfect design implementation and the ability to make minor design decisions when needed.
• Attention to detail: Capable of spotting and fixing design inconsistencies, including layout, font size, color, and flow.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to handle incomplete design elements in Figma.
• Problem-solving skills: Able to make independent development decisions and handle issues without constant supervision.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for creating efficient and smooth user experiences.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with designers and developers.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Frontend Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other related web technologies is essential.
• Extensive hands-on experience with React and its ecosystem (Redux, React Router, etc.) is required.
• Sound understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development is necessary.
• Prior exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are a must.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities are highly desired.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with frontend performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of backend technologies and frameworks (e.g., Python, Django).
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme) and test-driven development (TDD).
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma).
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
