POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of BDC's digital transformation, we are looking for candidates who are passionate with innovation and wish to contribute to the development of BDC's financing services and others offered to our clients via our digital channels. Our objective is to provide an intuitive self-service and omnichannel client experience. The development of our digital services is based on automation, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence in an agile delivery mode. Selected candidates will join a squad responsible to deliver specific functionalities within a product team.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Be responsible for leading a development team, provide a strong technical direction and establishing a technical vision, resolving technical disagreements, and managing the technical quality of the team deliverables.

  • Ensure the team uses appropriate engineering practices, invests in continual improvements to tooling or technical debt and that the system evolves to meet its changing needs and environment.

  • Compliance with architectural, security and industry best practices standards by the application/product

  • Communication/collaboration with other teams and within the team

  • Design, document, develop and deliver the appropriate Web technical solutions based on information architecture, functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Define and review programming codes to ensure development standards are respected and are compatible with the software, analysis and design, following “best practices” for documentation.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop functional specifications in order to understand the business's solutions and complexities.

  • Perfect and ensure the proper execution of unit tests and tests automation. Will also fix bugs prior to delivering the software to Quality Assurance

  • Participate in the implementation in various environments (development and test) up to production.

  • Adapt to changing technology, learning and applying new methods for achieving the organization’s goals.

  • Supplies second-level technical support in order to solve production problems and provide support according to established service levels.

  • Manage the technical debt with the Product Owner

  • Be accountable and remove technical blockers.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Seven to 10 years of experience as a Fullstack developer.

  • Strong experience with .NET Core

  • Strong experience with Angular Framework

  • Experience in Frontend coding languages (HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, Type Script, etc.)

  • Experience in Web Accessibility and HTML Best practice.

  • Experience with various Build tools (Gulp, NodeJS, Yaml, etc.).

  • Experience with software engineering approaches such as TDD, Pair Programming, CI / CD, Release Pipeline and Azure DevOps.

  • Great sense of organization

  • Ability to constantly adapt to a changing environment

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Practical knowledge of various aspects of the IT / Web field

  • Bilingualism and excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in creating secure solutions

  • Understanding of containerization and cloud services (Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu)

  • Understanding of microservices based applications, design principles and deployment models is a strong asset

  • Strong Leadership, mentoring and communication skills.

  • Multitasker and organized
