WHAT CAN RELIAS OFFER YOU?
The Software Engineer, Communities will be instrumental in developing and delivering high-quality front-end solutions using Vue, TypeScript, and modern front-end technologies like CSS, SASS/LESS, and HTML. As a key member of the Scrum team, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, responsive, and user-friendly web applications. The role involves contributing to the design, development, and implementation of front-end features, ensuring adherence to best practices and high code quality. The engineer will participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and quality assurance processes, while working closely with back-end developers and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and deployment. This position requires strong expertise in front-end development, with a focus on Vue and TypeScript, as well as an understanding of modern web design principles and API integration. Familiarity with cloud platforms and collaborative software development in an agile environment is a plus.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
• Software Development and Maintenance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions, aligning with business objectives and user needs.
• Problem Solving and Innovation: Assist in designing and implementing solutions to technical challenges, following industry standards and best practices to improve functionality and performance.
• Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation to support project specifications and software updates.
• Quality Assurance and Code Review: Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes to ensure software meets performance and security standards.
• DevOps Collaboration: Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of applications.
• Industry Knowledge and Trends: Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in software development to continuously improve skills and contribute to team success.

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE/ARE
• 3+ years front-end development experience with Vue (preferred) or React.
• 3+ years Typescript, SASS/LESS
• 2+ years CMS development
• Experience with GraphQL or other API integration technologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• TypeScript and Front-End Development: Proficient in TypeScript, with expertise in front-end frameworks like Vue (preferred) or React for creating responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• CSS and Preprocessors (SASS/LESS): Strong understanding of CSS and experience with preprocessors like SASS or LESS for writing organized, maintainable stylesheets. Experince with Tailwind is ideal.
• GraphQL and API Integration: Experience working with GraphQL or similar technologies for integrating APIs and retrieving data efficiently.
• Content Management Systems: Advanced proficiency in CMS platforms for building templates and front-end components (Craft CMS preferred).
• Accessibility (ADA/WCAG Compliance): Experience implementing ADA and WCAG guidelines to ensure web accessibility and usability for all users, including those with disabilities.
• Cross-Browser Compatibility and Responsive Design: Strong knowledge of ensuring cross-browser compatibility and building responsive designs for various screen sizes.
• Foundational Understanding of Web Development: A solid grasp of web development best practices, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability of front-end code.
• Version Control (Git): Proficiency in using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and collaborating within development teams.

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:
Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days/quarter.
