Freetrade is a fintech company committed to making trading and investment more accessible. Our platform aims to simplify the investment process for users through an intuitive interface. We are seeking both Junior and Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Engineers who are keen to contribute to our mission and grow within our team.


The Full-Stack Web Engineer will be responsible for developing Freetrade’s web application, with a focus on Next.js and Apollo GraphQL Federation API integration. This position suits candidates at the Entry to Mid Level who are prepared to contribute significantly at both the individual and team levels, engaging closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake tasks assigned at the individual level, supporting feature development in line with established engineering practices.
• Participate in the agile development process, effectively communicating progress and any assistance required to the team.
• Ensure attention to detail in the production of clean, readable, and well-tested code.
• Actively participate in team discussions, seeking feedback and guidance to improve knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in web application development with Next.js and Apollo GraphQL integration.
• Knowledge of Terraform, and CI/CD tools like CircleCI or ArgoCD, would be beneficial.
• Basic competency in relevant programming languages and tools, with a willingness to learn and seek assistance proactively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with effective teamwork capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both technical team members and non-technical stakeholders.

The application process consists of a 4 stage process. You will initially have a quick interview with one of our internal Talent Specialists and after that meeting the Hiring Manager for the role.  Followed by a Live Coding Interview, closing the process with a Culture Values and Executive Interview with our Founders (CEO and COO) to check on your culture fit.
